Through the process of restoring and renovating this 1800’s space (a gym in it’s most recent incarnation) we sought to strip back and lay bare the original architectural elements and celebrate them within a contemporary context.
We discovered carved archways, brick fireplaces, four metre ceilings and bevelled walls. We sought calm and authenticity with layered textures of natural materials and modern, custom fixtures and fittings working with artisans in Australia and overseas to craft hand forged iron, burnished brass, turned timber and fluted glass.
