Our clients were particularly keen to carve out a dining nook within the existing footprint which they could use for work and casual meals, and a Gin Bar for entertaining.

We took the clients brief to create heritage with a twist, striving to deliver the elusive juxtaposition of classic and contemporary, the best of old and new for luxurious everyday living.

The gradual renovation of this elegant, 1920’s apartment in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs was completed in stages, one luxurious room at a time.

The owners wanted heritage with a twist, but nothing too ‘olde worldly’. We worked to update the existing interiors with warmth and character befitting the architectural integrity of the apartment and reconfigure the spaces to deliver better storage and functionality.

Drawing inspiration from the clients’ collection of contemporary art, teal cabinetry was introduced with statement tiles, timeless wall mouldings, fluted glass and classic Carrara marble. European sensibility for an Antipodean lifestyle.
